Over the river and through the woods to “The Blog Cabin” we go…
When I was a little girl, my younger brother had a friend who was so uncivilized he could make a sailor blush. That friend’s name was Kit. Kit was probably one of the most obnoxious people I’d ever met, though admittedly, at that age I found pretty much all of my younger brother’s friends obnoxious.
After I graduated high school and moved to Denver to attend Regis University, I never thought of Kit again. College was fast-paced and full of new people and experiences. Four years passed in the blink of an eye, and before I knew it, I was fully immersed in a career as an accountant in the Denver Tech Center.
How I came to marry Kit nearly a decade after I thought I had finally rid my life of him is a long story … 352 pages to be exact. Yup, you read that right. I actually wrote a book about it! (If you’re interested, you can find a copy of it here.)
But that’s not what this blog is about. This blog is about building our dream, a beautiful log cabin on an enchanted piece of property in Black Hawk, Colorado.
One warm summer day in August 2016, our dream began.
We hope you enjoy following us as we take this journey “over the river and through the woods” to the log cabin of our dreams.
